Mine is a great love. A love for beauty, for the land where I live, Sicily.
The history of my company began in 1964 thanks to the great tenacity and dedication of my parents, as well as their constant commitment to the pursuit of quality, they have been able to pass on to me the love for furnishing.
Alvar Aalto once said that "a project had succeeded if people feel good looking at it”. My team and I love to give life and shape to the space to let you simply be what you are, with ease and naturalness, enriching your life today and tomorrow with timeless objects that have made the history of design. This is why my idea of a store will be unique. I started out with many challenges in our new premises in Castellammare del Golfo. I wanted to give life to an idea transforming it into a concrete reality of convivial space for our customers. A "box" that can also host designers/architects who know how and want to convey a love of architecture with understanding and passion, "a wonderful synthesis process involving thousands of human components" (Alvar Aalto).

Monica Ciulla
Interior DesignerShe started studying Architecture in 2011, acquiring skills in the design and technical fields. An intense training course consisting of travels, interdisciplinary interests and stimulating exchanges of ideas lead her to develop a fervent passion for interior design, intended as the design of living environments. From 2020 she enthusiastically begins to be part of the Chiarenza's team and she starts working in our Bulthaup showroom in Palermo.
Nino Chiarenza
FounderAfter finishing his studies in 1993 he began to work in the family business opened by his parents in 1964. From 1995 he began to select brands and meet designers to have knowledge of the products he likes to propose. Driven by the desire to internationalize his company, he began to collaborate with Bulthaup and opening the exclusive showroom in Palermo in 2010. His inexhaustible energy and vitality always manages to motivate and stimulate his entire team.
Cristina Cataldo
Co-founder and Marketing managerAfter a long experience in the family clothing company she decided to move to London to open herself up to new realities and she began to work for some famous interiors brands. In 2005 she chose to follow her heart and she came back to Sicily and married Nino Chiarenza. In 2014 she started to join the Chiarenza team in the marketing area.
Ornella Ammoscato
Architect and Interior DesignerAfter completing a degree in Architecture in 2007, she immediately started her profession.
Driven by a great desire for new challenges, in 2018 she began his collaboration with us in Castellammare del Golfo. Her enthusiasm, her ability to listen to customers and her great passion for interior design are just some of the reasons why Ornella has become a key figure in our team.
